NEW DROUGHT CONSCIOUS LANDSCAPING BRINGS NEW LOOK AND FOSTERS DROUGHT AWARENESS AT MACY
In the effort to reflect more drought-conscious landscaping, and to raise awareness of the drought that is affecting California, Macy has proudly unveiled a newly landscaped area in front of our Main Office. Through a very generous grant received from the San Gabriel Valley Water District, Macy was able to remove the front lawn, and opt for plants and foliage that required less watering and maintenance. A pathway was also created at the front of this new area so that students and their families are able to more easily access and enjoy our new plants and flowers.
We welcome you to visit us throughout the summer and enjoy the plants, flowers and scenery that the front of our school now offers. Many thanks to the San Gabriel Water District, and to the Montebello Unified School District for providing our school with this drought-conscious makeover!
