RED RIBBON WEEK IS A SUCCESS!

FullSizeRender.jpgAs part of a statewide campaign to promote anti-Drug and anti-Alcohol awareness, schools across the State of California participate in Red Ribbon Week from October 27 through October 31. During this week, our students and staff united and participated in a week of activities that promoted school unity, and also folded in elements that touch on the importance of ensuring that Macy remains a Bully-Free environment where all stakeholders feel safe and welcomed.

Ms. Terry Wong and the ASB did an excellent job of organizing lunchtime activities that students participated in, and created themed days where Macy students and Staff dressed similarly. Some of our dress up days were: Twin Day, Favorite Band TShirt Day, and of course Halloween Costume Day which occurred at the end of Red Ribbon Week.

Together, our Macy community commits ourselves to remaining drug and alcohol free, and we also commit ourselves to ensuring that Macy remains bully-free. Our teachers, students, staff and community members all pledge to carry the message of Red Ribbon Week into the rest of the school year!
