IMG_1471-1.JPGOn Thursday, November 20, 2014, all Macy Knights gathered on the Macy Steps to recognize the success of both students and staff at the first Achievement Rally of the year. Achievement Rallies were initiated by our Principal, Mr. Arregui, and our Counselor, Ms. Quan last year so that our school was able to come together and celebrate the many accomplishments that occur during a school quarter. Generous donations from staff members and our PTA provide our students with Raffle Prizes and other incentives.

Our Macy community was thrilled by the Creative Sports BMX Team at this last Achievement Rally. PTA President, Terry Robles, was instrumental in getting the BMX Team to Macy for our Achievement Rally. The Creative Sports BMX Team amazed all in attendance with their acrobatic stunts, and perhaps even more importantly, emphasized the importance of tenacity, kindness and positivity to our students. They provided lots of free giveaway gifts, and a signed scooter for our PTA Fundraiser Raffle winner, Jaden Feliciano.

IMG_1509.JPGStudents were recognized for academic achievement, Perfect Attendance, and positive contributions to our school community via our Caught Being Good program. Teachers were also recognized for Perfect Attendance, and Mr. Arregui named Ms. Protti as our Teacher of the Quarter. Students received gift cards and other items that were generously donated by our Macy PTA and Staff Members, and were called up for various raffles and prizes.

Our Macy students and teachers work extremely hard throughout the year to reach academic and social goals. Through our Achievement Rallies, we come together as a united community to celebrate and recognize the numerous ways in which Macy Knights continue reach their goals. Many thanks to our students, teachers, community members and PTA for coming together to truly make Macy Intermediate School and amazing place for learning. Go Macy Knights
